The test notifications are scheduled to occur Monday, Feb. 9, between 1 and 2 p.m. on some locals’ mobile phones.
On Tuesday at 12:25 p.m the University of Connecticut will conduct a test run of its emergency service system, UConnALERT.
The County of Monterey wants to inform the communities of Watsonville and Pajaro that they will be testing an emergency alert on Thursday.
The alert will clearly state that it is a test and will include an option to unsubscribe.
