Under the recently enacted Arkansas ACCESS Act, Springdale Public Schools is prohibited from granting excused absences for student protests or walkouts. Springdale said that any student who leaves campus or misses instructional time will receive an unexcused absence and other consequences as outlined in their student handbook.
