NOAA's GOES-19 satellite caught the Great Lakes doing what they do best on Thursday, creating heavy bands of Lake Effect Snow. The imagery shows bands of lake-effect snow streaming across the region as chilly air blew over the lakes. The locally heavy snow prompted snow squall warnings and Winter Weather Advisories for locations east of the lakes. | WeatherBug
