A new and innovative program has now been instituted in Charlotte County called the Adult Pre-Arrest Diversion Program which is support by the Sheriff of Charlotte County, the Chief of Police of Punta Gorda, The State Attorney, The Public Defender and the Clerk of the Court. The Program ensures that those certain adult offenders recieve swift and appropriate consequences for their actions. The focus is to offer restorative case plans,designed to curtain future criminal behavior. Watch this video
